Hi there, my name is Joy Fu and I am currently studying post graduate at the Auckland University of Technology. I enjoy drawing and making comics, and I hope to make something out of it.

Some Old Doodles
I haven't done anything new so... here are some old drawings I found.
I did Chang-e on the train. She's a goddess from Chinese legends.
This is a character by a Deviant artist. I did this for a competition but I didn't win. I never do.

Runes of Wind: Officially Implemented!
I have officially started my long-running comic idea, Runes of the Wind. It is a fantasy-action comic.
Here's a screenshot of my work-in-progress.

Mop & Bop #001
I decided to make a short comic strip every day for two weeks and see how it goes. I can't guarantee that I am able to put one out every day consecutively, but I'll try.
Anyway, here's the first one.

Guilty Crown Fan Art
I really like Guilty Crown. Inori is one of my favourite characters. Although I still can't figure out why she wears such seductive clothing... Fan service? Or a distraction for the enemies?

Runes of the Wind: First Cover
I worked quite long on this cover; deciding which character to put on it, the posing, the composition, the style, etc. But in the end I am quite happy with it. Hopefully the actual comic will turn out well, too.
Here is a look at how I made the cover art. Some steps cannot be seen here, as I did some research on the Art Noveau style. I drew rough sketches of the character first, then went over it with some precision. I went over those lines again, this time very carefully; making sure the lines are clean, and also adding in the finer details. I then colour everything in, keeping the lighting and shades in mind. When I'm done, the background looks empty, so I added in some floral borders and brushstrokes. I added in the title with an appropriate typeface and a texture overlay.
